Hello there,
Like many people I have met, I am a transplant to Washington State. I was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan (that's the state that's shaped like a mitten!). Upon visiting Seattle three years ago I fell in love with the scenery and the people. So, after finishing college, I set out to pursue my dream of teaching English in this beautiful state!
I am a certified Secondary English educator and I completed my year-long student teaching internship in an 11th and 12th grade English classroom in Michigan. I graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in English in 2016. Recently, I completed my Master's at Concordia University earning a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Among the many things I enjoy doing, playing my ukulele and traveling is at the top of my list. The joy I get out of these activities in my personal life fuels my enthusiasm in my professional life. I am really looking forward to beginning my 4th year of teaching at Heatherwood and working with my students teaching English this year!
